The Weald Green Power team was again in superb form on Sunday 30^th September at the Greater London Qualifying race at Dunsfold Park, home of BBC’s “Top Gear”.  Students raced both the tried and tested “Black Bullet” and our new car the “Purple Predator”. With 35 schools competing, the Weald cars came in second and third place pipped for first place by Slindon College. The Weald had already secured places  for both cars in the National final on October 13th at Goodwood but this qualifier gave the team another opportunity to give our new drivers more race experience. Each race is driven over 4 hours with cars changing batteries and drivers three times. In both qualifiers the cars suffered minor problems with the repairs taking up costly time. We will need a perfect run in the Nationals if we are to secure a podium place.
