The Weald School Year 11 Prom

Students from The Weald celebrated in style on Friday 27 June when the Year 11 Prom took place.

Students from The Weald celebrated in style on Friday 27 June when the Year 11 Prom took place. Students arrived in a range of vehicles from tandem to a tow truck. Hundreds of friends, family and well-wishers gathered to see the spectacle before students travelled by bus to Tower Bridge in London where they stepped on board a Cruiser and spend the evening on the Thames.  The Year 11 prom marks a “right of passage” for students as they end the first part of their formal education at The Weald. They were given a wonderful reception by friends and family before setting off for London. The weather was good, and a marvellous evening was had by all.  As the cruiser set off, Tower Bridge was raised to let the revellers through.  Students were able to enjoy refreshments, food, and four hours of dancing on the cruiser before returning to The Weald in the early hours.  To see a photo gallery of the evening please click here.
