Catering

The Weald School runs its own in–house catering service and employs a Chef Manager, Head Chef and catering team dedicated to offering students a wide range of hot and cold meals and snacks with an emphasis on a healthy balanced menu. We use a cashless account system where parents are able to add value and check balances on student accounts via a convenient and secure online solution ParentPay. You will find a “quick link” to the ParentPay website on our website home page.

Pupils can buy a full hot meal “meal deal” or choose from a wide range of other hot and cold options from the main canteen or can obtain hot and cold snacks from our popular “snack shack”.

The sixth form has its own dedicated dining area.

The Weald School Fresh Food Policy

The daily menu consists of one main course, a vegetarian option, jacket potatoes with various fillings, pasta with sauces and of course a large selection of salads.

Homemade rolls, sandwiches, paninis and filled baguettes are made fresh every day. There is also a range of homemade hot and cold desserts and fresh fruit to choose from.

The menu is advertised weekly, for both parents and students to see in advance.

The Catering Department Is led by our Chef Manager Chris Stewart and his team, who are always on hand to listen to the students needs and suggestions. Our management and staff are also very friendly and above all accessible. We listen to our customers and actively encourage them to tell us what they think of our service.

We recognise that as custodians of our fresh food policy we need to ensure that our menus offer fresh and balanced diets and encourage healthy eating. We support the “5-a-day” campaign as fruit and vegetables are rich in vitamins and minerals that help us to keep healthy and boost our immune system.
