Exam Results and Ofsted Report

Examination Results 2023

The school has done well in recent years and has achieved record results.

After several years of extremely challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, students at The Weald have continued to achieve tremendous success.  This summer, our Year 13 cohort performed exceptionally well, placing our Sixth Form College in the top 5% of schools and colleges nationally (Alps 1).  In contrast with the national picture, where results declined, 40% of students attained grades A*-A (compared with 27% nationally) and 71% attained A*-B.  The result of this is that 92% of students gained their first choice university places.

At GCSE, 70% of students attained a grade 4 or above in English and Maths and 52% scored a grade 5 or above, and a great proportion of the cohort exceeded expectations compared with their Key Stage 2 starting points.

Of course, the results themselves are simply numbers - what really matters is the life chances that are now open to our young people as a result of their extraordinary hard work and the support of their teachers and parents/carers.
