The Weald is a successful and thriving Technology & Sports Specialist School which is currently at a particularly exciting point in its history.
The school was inspected by Ofsted in 2009 and noted:
This very good school is improving and has considerable strengths.
The warm and positive relationships throughout the school are an important factor in students' enjoyment of learning and their above average attendance.
Exam results 2010:
* 85% of students achieved 5 or more A* to C in 2010 at GCSE. These are the highest GCSE results in the school's history.
* 39 Year 11 students achieved 8 or more A* or A grades. Our two highest achieving students received 12 A* grades.
* A-Level results were also the highest the school has ever had with 52% of grades at A and B, and 75% at A to C.
* In the first year of awarding A* at A-level, 12 students achieved 4 A* - A grades or more. Our student achieved 5 A* grades.
