The Weald is a successful and thriving Technology & Sports Specialist School which is currently at a particularly exciting point in its history.

The school was inspected by Ofsted in 2009 and noted:

This very good school is improving and has considerable strengths.

The warm and positive relationships throughout the school are an important factor in students' enjoyment of learning and their above average attendance.

Exam results 2009:

• 84% of students achieved 5 or more A* to C in 2009 at GCSE. These are the highest GCSE results in the school's history.
• 33 Year 11 students achieved 8 or more A* or A grades.
• At A-Level 50% of grades were at A & B, and 75% at A to C.
• 8 A-Level students achieved four grade As
• 101 out of 103 A-Level students will be attending university. At AS, Emily Anderson & Alex Clarke achieved five grade As
