Weald School Students Celebrate Outstanding A Level Results!

"Best Ever" A Level Results

Students from the Weald School were celebrating the best A level results in the school’s 58 year history this week. 87% of all grades at A level were at A*- C with 70% of all grades at A*-B.  A very impressive 17% of all grades were at A*. Headteacher Peter Woodman commented “We are really pleased to see that the hard work of students, staff and parents has paid off. These are our best results ever by some margin. Achievement across the ability range is excellent. It is fantastic to achieve our best ever results but even more satisfying to see the looks on students’ faces as they have realised how well they have done. Achievement across the whole ability range has been fantastic”.

Top performers included Rob Westcott and Priya Sodha who each achieved three A*s and one A, Katie Douglas and Michael Williams with two A*s and two A grades. Laura Appleton, Bobbie Edsor, Charlotte Ellis and Saskia Rowland all achieved two A*s as part of their results. The pass rate for all subjects was 99% and nearly half of all grades were at either A* or A. Head of Sixth Form Tom Backshall commented, “We are pleased that so many students have met their target grades and better which has allowed them to gain entry to the university of their choice or enter their next phase of education or training.”
