Today Weald students remembered all those who have died and fought for Britain by taking part in a two minutes’ silence at 11am . Students observed the occasion  alongside a performance of the Last Post by members of school concert band.

The performance was a first for the School and was organised by new music teacher Mr Bayliss who said “We have some great trumpeters at The Weald and it was lovely for them to be able to mark this important event with their moving performance.” You can watch the performance below.

The concert band’s next big performance will be at the school’s Celebration of Christmas on Thursday 17 December at 7.30pm in The School Hall. Entry is free so please come along to enjoy performances from Weald Strings, Chamber Choir and Singers and Training Band as well as some festive refreshments.

More information regarding our extensive Music programme offered to all students can be found under the School Information tab of the school website. Signing up is easy, all you need to do is pop down to the Music Block or email music@theweald.org.uk
