We are looking for a professional, dynamic and flexible Progress Coach to join our Sixth Form team. The successful candidate should be passionate about supporting young people in their learning, demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and an ‘inclusive ethos’.
Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable, but is not essential, as full training and support will be given. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a secondary education setting as a full teaching qualification is not a prerequisite. However, a good standard of literacy and numeracy is required, with sound subject knowledge across all areas. This might be demonstrated through educational qualifications or previous professional experience.
The role involves supervising Year 12 and 13 students during their study periods in the Learning Resource Centre. The primary focus will be to maintain good order and keep pupils on task. The successful candidate will need to respond to questions and assist students in working independently. When not supervising study, they will also assist the Sixth form team in the management and preparation of resources or undertake administrative tasks in connection with your role. They will also be asked to cover 6th form tutor groups for registration periods when required.

Applications should be made by downloading and completing our application form (please see attachments below) and emailing it to jobs@theweald.org.uk
