Students from The Weald School Greenpower Car Team were celebrating recently as they won the International Final of the Formula 24+ category.
The Weald School has officially opened a series of new buildings as part of an £11 million expansion and development. Jeremy Quin MP cut the ribbon to the new block on Friday 22nd September which includes a 450 seat canteen and 22 teaching rooms catering for mathematics and art. The school welcomed around 50 local community stakeholders for the event which included a tour of the new facilities.
Our Open Evening this year was on Thursday 28 September. We welcomed over 700 prospective parents and students from both local villages and further afield to join us. The evening provided an opportunity for families to see The Weald at work, hear about exciting developments, particularly our new buildings/facilities and talk to some of our staff and students.
Students at The Weald School were celebrating another excellent set of GCSE results at the Billingshurst School on Thursday 24th August.
The Weald School was buzzing with the excitement of students opening their A-level results this morning and, once again, the Billingshurst school was celebrating another set of simply superb results.
Livingstone celebrated an outstanding year culminating with a clean sweep of trophies in the final assembly. After winning sports day and having several sport culture wins, it was looking good for the reds.
On Thursday 13 July 700 students, proud parents and esteemed guests from the community all gathered to celebrate another outstanding year at The Weald School’s annual Gold Awards ceremony. Students at The Weald excel in a wide range of skills throughout the year and this annual event recognises exceptional successes for effort, progress, and wider contribution to the school. Students should feel very proud of their achievements.
Year 11 Weald students marked another successful year by celebrating their annual leavers' prom on Thursday 29th June by cruising down the River Thames on the Erasmus boat.
On Wednesday 21 June, a large group of volunteer students from years 7 to 13 took part in a clean-up of Station Park in Billingshurst organised by two of the Community Captains.
As the country went to the polls in one of the tightest general elections, students at The Weald got involved, experiencing democracy first hand with their own Mock Election on Thursday 8 June.
On Friday 19th May, we said goodbye to our year 13 students. Students celebrated their time at The Weald by enjoying a fun afternoon on the field.
