Students and staff were celebrating this week having been named as one of the highest achieving Sixth Forms in England, according to The Sunday Times Newspaper. Every year the Sunday Times publishes a league table of schools using their most recent results from the summer exams.
Students had a double celebration on Sunday 12 October after coming first and third in the finals of the Green Power Car Challenge held at The Goodwood Race Circuit. The event which involves over 500 cars and schools from both Britain and abroad reached a climax on Sunday as competitors raced their purpose-built vehicles around the legendary race track. Schools qualified for a place in the final through races held at race tracks all across the country during the last year.
The Weald School has been awarded the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

Students at The Weald celebrated the end of their seven years at the school with their graduation dinner at the Avisford Park hotel on Friday 11 July.
On Tuesday 24 June the County Times Youth Awards were presented for the first time at the Capitol Theatre in Horsham.
Students from The Weald celebrated in style on Friday 27 June when the Year 11 Prom took place.
The Weald Summer Art Exhibiton featuring A2, AS and GCSE work takes place this month.
