The Virtual Baby project for Year 9s is a programme for sex and relationships. This year we gave nine students the opportunity to learn from the experience of what it means to become a parent. The programme is designed to inform young people about the realities of parenting and involves caring for a virtual baby over 3 days.
We are thrilled to be celebrating again, having successfully gained the Investors in Careers Status for the sixth time running. This Award has been held by the school since 1999 and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and staff at The Weald.
Our annual Gym and Dance Display was a great success! We showcased the students hard work and talent to a sold out crowd on 16th & 17th March.
The Weald Book Award celebrated its 8th year on Tuesday 1st March. Run by The Weald School it brings together a number of our current Year 7 pupils and Year 6 students from most of our feeder Primary Schools.
Sports Relief is coming to The Weald on Friday 18 March. We’ve got a fun filled and action packed day planned for both students and staff and will be fundraising in the following ways.
There will be a Public Information Event being held in the Estates Department, (opposite the main School entrance), on Wednesday 9 March 2016 from 3.00-6.00pm, to view the proposals for phase 2 of the building works.

As the summer exam season draws closer, many of our Year 11 students will be considering their post 16 education options. We understand how important this 'transition' period can be and a big part of this tradition are the Year 11 Leavers' hoodies.
On 10 February 2016, The Weald School opened its doors for its 22nd Future Choices Fair, the flagship event in our rolling careers programme.
Following their fantastic efforts in the recent Reindeer Run, Elgar students were recently invited to a cheque presentation event at Chestnut Tree House after raising over £3,000 for the local charity.
Our Girls Football Teams are currently training with Crawley Town Football Club as part of their outreach programme to encourage more girls to take part in the sport.
Here at The Weald we have an active International Links programme which aims to broaden the horizons of students and staff through developing links with schools in a number of countries worldwide.
