The Weald School & Sixth Form College are celebrating excellent GCSE and NVQ results

The Weald School & Sixth Form College is delighted to announce that our students are celebrating excellent results again this week, as they receive the outcomes of their GCSEs and NVQs.  After several years of extremely challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, these students have achieved tremendous success.  70% of students attained a grade 4 or above in English and Maths and 52% scored a grade 5 or above.  Overall, 76% of students gained a grade 4 or above in all qualifications.

Special mention must go to Max Enticott, who received grade 9s in all 11 of his exams, to Nina Currado who attained 9 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, and Annabel Tomlinson who gained 8 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s.  In addition, all of the following students attained an average of grade 8 and above: Harry Bubb, Toby Chambers, Amy Clifford, Fen Collinson, Macy Farrell, Adelaide Gooda, Amelie Moyle, Troy Nortje, Megan Smale, Connie Rees, Chloe Short and Grace Walker.  In terms of their starting points, the following students far exceeded expectations to achieve excellent outcomes: Ewan Booth, James Cordy, Jemma Furse-Cope, Jude Lane, James McKellan-Starling, Declan Peachey, and Poppy Ray-Jones.

We would like to congratulate all of our students receiving exam results this week and we are extremely proud of the young people they have become.  We look forward to seeing the vast majority of them back with us in our Sixth Form in September, following our best ever A-level results last week (which put us at the top of West Sussex schools and colleges for our A*-B grades), and wish every one of them well, whatever their future.
