Annual Future Choices Fair
On Wednesday 12th February The Weald School became a hive of activity as we embarked on our 20th Annual Future Choices Fair.
This year saw our highest number of visitors ranging from Year 8 through to Year 13. Students and parents alike commented on how useful it was, how it tied in with the Options process and how much information was available to students.
The choices available ranged from Further Education Colleges, Higher Education Universities, The Armed Forces, Police, Fire Service and Apprenticeship providers. We are always grateful for the support of our Parents who volunteer to give up 2 hours of their time to talk to students about their profession. This year we welcomed back a Doctor, Physio and Speech & Language Therapist amongst others.
Our Future Choices Fair is intended to show students the wide range of options available to them after they leave school. Each year we have new Exhibitors amongst these this year was What Uni? and The National Citizen Service.
If you would like to offer to help next year then please do not hesitate to get in touch. It’s not scary, and you don’t have to talk to students in large groups. It’s a much more 1-2-1 basis. Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Wilson in Careers – swilson@theweald.org.uk.
We look forward to seeing you again next year.
