  • The Weald School & Sixth Form College are celebrating excellent GCSE and NVQ results

    The Weald School & Sixth Form College is delighted to announce that our students are celebrating excellent results again this week, as they receive the outcomes of their GCSEs and NVQs.  After several years of extremely challenging circumstances due to the pandemic, these students have achieved tremendous success.  70% of students attained a grade 4 or above in English and Maths and 52% scored a grade 5 or above.  Overall, 76% of students gained a grade 4 or above in all qualifications.

  • Outstanding A-level and NVQ exam success

    The Weald School & Sixth Form College is delighted to announce that our students are celebrating outstanding A-level and NVQ exam results yet again this week - and they have bucked the national trend by maintaining high levels of top grades!  It could easily be forgotten that these students were enormously affected by the Covid lockdowns; they did not sit exams for their GCSEs, meaning that this was the first time they faced hugely significant national assessments.  Their achievement is all the greater and we are tremendously proud of all of our students.

    Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States, where it is also known as African-American History Month. It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland and the United Kingdom. It began as a way of remembering important people and events in the history of the African diaspora. It is celebrated in February in the United States[4] and Canada,[5] while in Ireland and the United Kingdom it is observed in October.

    We recently introduced a new award called the 'Shackleton Award' which is based on the ideals that Ernest Shackleton lived by. The new award rewards and recognises the courage, teamwork, resilience or determination shown by an individual over an extended period of time.

  • Enchanting Harry Potter Studio Tour

    "Welcome to Hogwarts!" The golden doors opened, transporting year 9 to the incredible world of JK Rowling's stories. Glittering Christmas trees lined the great hall and a replica festive feast including flaming Christmas puddings was laid out on the long tables. This was an amazing start to our tour of the movie studios.

  • Opening of new buildings

    Published 03/10/17

    The Weald School has officially opened a series of new buildings as part of an £11 million expansion and development. Jeremy Quin MP cut the ribbon to the new block on Friday 22nd September which includes a 450 seat canteen and 22 teaching rooms catering for mathematics and art. The school welcomed around 50 local community stakeholders for the event which included a tour of the new facilities.
